Victoria Place

You might recognise this lane between Dockhead Street and Dockhead Place in Saltcoats.but do you know it has a name? Victoria Place is still named on modern OS maps, and was once home of the warehouse for James Fullerton’s ironmongers (on the left), and Arthur Guthrie’s printing shop (on the right), where the Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald was first printed and published in 1853.
